Fort St. George offers a delightful array of Japanese dishes with a friendly and inviting atmosphere. The Bento with Pork Katsu and Chicken Teriyaki was a highlight. The katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, delivering a flavor that's on par, if not better, than other katsus I've tried. The chicken teriyaki was tender, juicy, and surprisingly flavorful. The side dishes were good, though the pasta salad was a bit confusing, but everything else was great. The Pork Katsu Donburi was also enjoyable. The katsu, mixed with egg, created a tasty combination, and the flavors and sauces fused well with the rice. The Beef Curry with Pork Cutlet was a solid choice, tasting like a typical Japanese curry with pork--good but average. The Bacon and Mushroom Doria with White Sauce was unique and a first for me. The cream was good, and the cheese crust was a nice touch. The bacon and mushroom complemented the sauce well, though it could use a tad more flavor. The waitress was super nice and friendly, adding enthusiasm and humor to our ordering experience, making it even more enjoyable. Fort St. George is definitely worth a visit for its tasty dishes and excellent service.

First time at Fort St. George and I have some mixed feelings. First and foremost, we were seated promptly. My friend and I came from the Seattle Reign game and were pretty hungry. The host was nice and took our appetizer order. We settled on the spicy cheese fries. I was excited since I love cheese fries. I have to say, I was let down. The cheese was just kind of thrown on and the spice was barely noticeable. Fries were kind of lukewarm as well. As far as the entree... now the Doria with shrimp and scallops were AMAZING. So much flavor in the risotto and cooked perfectly. Every bite was flavorful. The service after got pretty slow and it took a while for the server to get back to us and give us our check. It wasn't too busy in there for a Sunday afternoon so not sure what happened. I'd go back for the Doria alone. The Mt Fuji drink , left something to be desired as well. Pretty watered down with a slight apple taste. It's a good spot for some quick comfort food but temper your expectations as far as service and the cheese fries. Get the Doria though. I promise

Looking for some Japanese comfort food? Look no further because Fort St. George is here! I've been coming here since 2019 and I've been consistently ordering the Doria and the Omurice, both of which are extremely delectable. Yesterday, I ordered- you wouldn't guess.. the Omurice. The soft omelette paired with the savory ketchup fried rice with bits of chicken inside made for a fulfilling dinner that made my tastebuds dance for joy. I will always order this dish time and time again. If you're a sweets lover, I highly suggest ordering the cream soda! I had the melon cream soda and the ice cream on top was delightful. As the ice cream melts into the soda, this drink becomes a sweet melon soda float. The ambiance of this restaurant is small and modern. It can get quite busy, but for good reason! To access Fort St. George, you will go upstairs in the building where Pink Gorilla retro video game store is. I like the area where this restaurant is located. If you get a window seat, you can get a nice view of Hing Hay Park! The service was A1. The staff is friendly, patient and attentive. I loved that they regularly filled my water and checked in. The food was so good I did not leave a single spec of leftovers. I highly recommend this restaurant for a casual dinner with friends, family or even dates! When you're in Chinatown, make sure to stop by, you will not be disappointed.

Second time to this place. The restaurant was spacious. Even though one side of the restaurant was pretty full of customers, we were able to find a big table on the other side. We ordered warm sake, cream soda with melon, freshly squeezed salty dog, gyutan shioyaki, omelet, vegetable tempura, bacon & mushroom doria, tempura ice cream. All the drinks and food were delicious. The omelet was to die for with the Mentaiko on top. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. They served our dishes very efficiently. Prices were still very good given the inflations nowadays. We two each paid $66 after taxes and tips. We luckily found parking on the street.
